Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult period, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks his maiden title since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court since spring of 2023.
Success also signifies he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted some to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a final set.
He rescued 4 early-game break points in a close final set before the champion won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
